The Playlists

2008 in review

Playlist for 2008:

I Don’t Wanna Be In Love — Good Charlotte

When a song has catchy music, it makes it that much more likely that I will steal said music and make up my own words to sing to it. “I Don’t Wanna Be In Love” was the song I did that to the most this year.

Selling the Drama — Live

If it were possible to sell all the drama from 2008…. who am I kidding? We’d be filthy stinkin’ rich from all the years prior, too.
I’ve willed, I’ve walked,
I’ve read, I’ve talked,
I know, I know,
I’ve been here before, hey….

Best of You — Foo Fighters

I’ve got another confession my friend
I’m no fool
Im getting tired of startin’ again
somewhere new
Wouldn’t wanna resist, or be abused…
I swear I’ll never give in
and I refuse…

Everything — Buckcherry

Now and then she talks to me,
and sometimes writes me letters…

Lithium — Nirvana

This is my driving-around-in-the-car-being-a-badass song for ’08. Yeah yeah yeah….

How Far We’ve Come — Matchbox 20

Waking up at the start of the end of the world,
But it’s feeling just like every other morning before…

Funny, I think each of us has come pretty far…

Missing Cleveland — Scott Weiland

You’re holding on but letting go…

The Real Morning Party — Marco Benevento

Pete finds some pretty awesome music outside of the mainstream, so I’m not surprised if most of you haven’t heard Mr. Benevento’s work. This track happens to be my favorite from the album (it’s such a happy one)

Real Love — Regina Spektor

From this moment on I know
Exactly where my life will go
Seems that all I really was doing
Was waiting for love..
